Conducted research and hosted community meetings in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and Houston to create an all new long-term exhibition on African American Texans.

March 4, 2017 - August 20, 2017

Featuring wooden sculptures by Roberto Cardinale, the exhibition presents an artist's vision of 12 iconic Texas religious sites to explore the critical role missions and churches played in the development of the Lone Star State. Cardinale has created more than 500 small-scale sculptures depicting churches and synagogues from around the world.

Original sketches and interpretive panels on the history of the featured Texas missions and churches provide additional context to the sculptures. An introductory video describes the artist's process.

November 19, 2016 - March 12, 2017

Large-scale GigaPan photographs of some of Texas' more than two dozen intricately painted 19th century churches built by immigrants from Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Poland, France, Spain, Mexico, and beyond. Featuring photographs by Jim and Jane Whitcomb, panels provide historical and technological context.

May - September 2016

Bilingual exhibition created for Bexar County on the early years of San Antonio presented in celebration of the San Antonio Missions' World Heritage designation and as a lead-in to San Antonio's tricentennial in 2018. Featured maps and drawings from the Archivo General de Indias in Seville, Spain as well as artifacts and documents from local collections. Oversaw production of an introductory video, children's hands-on room, and research room.

May 2015 - present

Co-curator of long-term exhibition telling the story of the Tejano legacy from the early 18th century to the present. Exhibit incorporated built environments and hands-on interactive stations throughout. The introductory video features John Quiñones.

March 2013 - March 2014

Designed as a life-size game board, this immersive exhibition invited visitors to step into the role of a real migrant to Texas and experience the emotions and challenges of making a life changing journey to a new homeland. Using oral histories of "New Texans" the exhibit dispelled common myths about immigration and demonstrated the complexities of the process.

September - December 2013

Worked with an architecture class to create a visitor friendly examination of one of the city's major corridors. Created an oral history video on business history and changes along the road.

Curated exhibition about body image by art collective Más Rudas.

May - July 2013

Co-curated photo and memoribilia exhibit in a community-based gallery. Organized a listening party and panel.

November - December 2012

Small photo exhibit of beloved former local department store holiday Fantasyland, with a video of the store's former train display now housed at the New Braunfels Railroad Museum.

November 2011 - December 2012

A exploration of the cultural values, ingenuity, art, and design expressed in toys. The exhibition was designed to evoke a toy maker’s shop, and included a make-and-take toy station, and spotlights on three Texas toy makers including paper doll illustrator Tom Tierney, the cabinetmaker turned toy maker Louis Dietz, and folk toy maker Lee Hale.

Related programming included a River Walk Lego installation, motion activated model train installation, meet and greet with Tom Tierney, and Toy Day.

Exhibition commemorating the fortieth anniversary of the Texas Folklife Festival with over-sized photographs, memorabilia, vintage videos, and historical panels.
